CARE & COACHING
The Whitby Foundation offers Scripture-grounded biblical care and Christian life coaching for people who want help understanding their circumstances, strengthening the relationships and responsibilities that shape family life, and taking faithful next steps under the lordship of Jesus Christ.
REQUEST CARE OR COACHING →WHO WE SERVE
Biblical care may be appropriate when you need a wise Christian conversation, a Scripture-grounded perspective, prayer, accountability, or help identifying faithful next steps. Care is subject to availability and whether your situation fits the scope of our ministry.
Help slowing down conflict, identifying responsibility, pursuing repentance and repair, and applying biblical wisdom to recurring patterns.
Support through parenting pressures, changing seasons, extended-family strain, relocation, loss, and other disruptions that affect household life.
Care for seasons of doubt, shame, grief, weariness, temptation, or confusion where Scripture, prayer, and Christian companionship may help.
Help examining anger, fear, avoidance, resentment, passivity, controlling behavior, destructive habits, or other patterns through a biblical lens.
Prayerful support when you are trying to make a difficult decision faithfully and want help separating facts, fears, desires, responsibilities, and wisdom.
When a need is beyond our scope, we may help identify an appropriate local church, licensed clinician, medical provider, legal resource, or community service.
CHRISTIAN LIFE COACHING
Life does not happen in separate compartments. Work affects marriage. Personal habits affect leadership. Purpose affects the way we show up at home. Our Bible-based coaching helps people grow in the areas of life that shape the family. Biblical truth is not an add-on to our coaching model; it is the foundation of it.
Purpose, discipline, fatherhood, relationships, responsibility, decision-making, leadership, and spiritual growth.
Communication, shared vision, relational patterns, connection, responsibility, and intentional family life.
Career decisions, transitions, goals, priorities, work-life alignment, calling, leadership development, and purposeful growth.
WHAT BIBLICAL CARE IS — AND IS NOT
WHAT TO EXPECT
Complete a brief request form with your basic contact information, the type of support you are seeking, and a short description. Please do not include medical records or other highly sensitive information.
We review the request for availability and fit and help determine whether Biblical Care, Christian Coaching, or another form of support is the most appropriate starting point.
If the request fits our scope, we arrange a conversation focused on understanding the situation, identifying immediate concerns, and clarifying goals.
Next steps may include Scripture study, prayer, coaching goals, practical assignments, follow-up conversations, church involvement, or referral to other appropriate care.
Start with our short request form. Tell us the general type of support you are seeking and how you prefer to be contacted. We will review the request for fit and availability before substantive care or coaching begins.
SAFETY & SCOPE
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. If you are experiencing a mental-health or suicide crisis in the United States, call or text 988.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE OFTEN ASK
Christian Life Coaching is a goal-oriented, forward-focused process that helps individuals and couples gain clarity, make intentional decisions, develop healthier patterns, and move toward meaningful change. At The Whitby Foundation, coaching is explicitly Christian and grounded in Scripture. Biblical truth informs how we approach identity, marriage, family, leadership, responsibility, work, purpose, relationships, and personal growth.
Coaching generally focuses on where you are now, where you want to go, and the goals, decisions, habits, accountability, and practical actions that can help you move forward. Licensed mental-health counseling or psychotherapy may include assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental-health conditions, trauma, significant emotional distress, and other clinical concerns. Christian Life Coaching at The Whitby Foundation does not diagnose or treat mental-health disorders and is not a substitute for psychotherapy or medical care.
Biblical Care is Scripture-centered spiritual and relational support for people navigating personal struggles, suffering, conflict, questions of responsibility, repentance, forgiveness, reconciliation, and faithful next steps. It is pastoral and discipleship-oriented rather than clinical treatment. Biblical Care is not licensed psychotherapy and does not diagnose or treat mental-health disorders.
No. Christian Life Coaching is not psychotherapy, psychological treatment, psychiatric care, or medical care. If concerns arise that are outside the appropriate scope of coaching, we may recommend working with a licensed clinician, physician, pastor, or another qualified professional.
Yes. Biblical truth is not an add-on to our coaching model; it is the foundation of it. Scripture will inform the way we understand goals, relationships, responsibilities, decisions, character, purpose, work, leadership, and growth. This does not mean every session becomes a Bible study or that every challenge receives a simplistic verse as an answer. It means the framework itself is unapologetically Christian.
No. You do not have to be a Christian to request coaching from The Whitby Foundation. However, our coaching is explicitly Christian and grounded in Scripture. Biblical truth and Christian principles will inform the coaching process, so clients should understand before beginning that we do not offer worldview-neutral coaching.
Coaching may be a good fit when your primary focus is goals, decisions, accountability, habits, leadership, career, purpose, relationship growth, or moving forward. Biblical Care may be a better fit when you are primarily navigating spiritual struggles, suffering, significant relational conflict, forgiveness or reconciliation, entrenched patterns, or questions of repentance and biblical wisdom. You do not have to determine this perfectly before contacting us; an initial conversation can help identify the most appropriate starting point.
Andros Whitby, CCLC, is a Certified Christian Life Coach credentialed through the Board of Christian Life Coaching (BCLC), an affiliate board of the International Board of Christian Care (IBCC). His primary coaching focus is men, marriage, and family, with additional work in life, career, leadership, and purpose because these areas often directly affect the health of the family.
Availability, format, and any associated cost are communicated clearly before care or coaching begins so you can decide whether to proceed. The Whitby Foundation is continuing to develop its care and coaching services responsibly as capacity grows.
Do not treat abuse, threats, coercion, sexual violence, child endangerment, or immediate danger as an ordinary communication problem. Seek safety and appropriate professional or emergency help. Biblical Care or coaching may sometimes support that process, but neither is a substitute for emergency, legal, medical, or licensed clinical care when those services are needed.
