THE WHITBY DIFFERENCE

Beyond a better argument.
Toward faithful repair.

People need more than scripts for talking. Biblical reconciliation requires distinguishing suffering from sin, practicing humility, and making specific commitments that can be followed through.

01

Truth and experience

Separate what was observed from what was felt, interpreted, or assumed. Show compassion without treating every interpretation as a proven fact.

02

Confession without excuses

Use the Seven A's to name genuine wrongdoing specifically, acknowledge impact, and take appropriate responsibility.

03

Repentance that bears fruit

Move from apology to concrete, observable change. Take consequences, boundaries, and accountability seriously.

04

Grace and wise restoration

Distinguish forgiveness, reconciliation, and trust. No tool can demand immediate closeness or erase necessary boundaries.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions before
you begin.

The tool is meant to support thoughtful reflection, not provide a judgment about who is right or replace professional care.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. The entire experience is mobile-responsive. You can also add it to your device's home screen on supported browsers, similar to an app.

Can I pause and get a reminder?

Yes. The quick guide offers a local calendar-file reminder without an account. Inside a signed-in conversation, you can opt in to email reminders after the email service is configured. Delivery checks run hourly.

Will my partner see my private draft?

No. When both people join a safe, voluntary shared conversation, each draft remains private until both participants independently submit their reflections. Submission then locks that reflection.

Does this mean both people are equally responsible?

No. Responsibility is not automatically equal. The pathway encourages each person to examine their own actions without inventing blame. Participation must never be forced.

What if the relationship is unsafe?

Do not use a joint reconciliation form in situations involving coercion, abuse, threats, or intimidation. Prioritize safety and independent support. Read the safety guidance.
